Hi, my name is Sophia Kaur!! I’m the founder and president of Beyond the Ribbon. I started Beyond the Ribbon because breast cancer has had a huge impact on my life and my family. I lost my grandmother to breast cancer, and witnessing the pain and challenges that cancer brought to loved ones inspired me to help. Cancer is something that has affected my family on a day-to-day basis, and I wanted to turn that experience into something positive that could help others.

As a teenager, I realized that young people have the power to make a difference in their communities. I founded Beyond the Ribbon to raise awareness about breast cancer, support those who are currently fighting the disease, honor survivors, and remember those we have lost.

Our mission is not only to raise funds for the Northwell Breast Cancer Institute, but also to inspire action. Every event we organize and every dollar we raise is dedicated to supporting patients, advancing research, and help.
